Principal Business Development Manager

San Diego or San Francisco - Currently Remote

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Environmental Risk Management (ERM) Practice and can be based in San Diego or either of our San Francisco offices. We are a full service consulting firm working with Non-Profits, Biopharma, Colleges, Major Petroleum Retailers, Hospitals, Private Developers, State/Federal Agencies, Industrial Facilities, Insurance Companies, Real Estate Companies, Homeowners, Financial Institutions, and Fortune 500 companies. We get to work with exciting companies like Apple, Google, Weyerhaeuser, Door Dash, BASF etc.

This Role Might Be For You If You Have The Following:

  • Deep connections with clients across the West Coast.

  • You enjoy business development and project oversight!

  • Exceptional science/engineering experience leading/interfacing with internal technical staff.

  • A bachelor’s degree in science, geology, or engineering is required, and preferably professional registration is held in a related discipline (PE, PG).

  • 15+ years of increasingly responsible experience in marketing, soliciting, bidding, and managing environmental due diligence (ASTM Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, Transaction Screens, Property Condition Assessments, Zoning Analysis Reports, ALTA Surveys), environmental audits, complex hydrogeologic investigations/Phase II ESAs, feasibility studies, risk assessments, cost estimating, engineering design, remediation, and/or construction management projects for biopharma, high-tech, commercial real estate, renewable energy, industrial, utility, and/or public sector clients.

    • Asbestos, hazardous materials, and demolition testing, abatement, and management experience is a plus.

  • The ideal candidate has experience in redevelopment projects involving soils, groundwater, surface water, indoor air, and/or sediments, with proven ability to assist clients in developing and implementing environmental cleanup strategies and solutions.   • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational skills, and teamwork ability are essential.
