Senior Archaeologist

Project Manager

San Diego - Currently Remote

The ideal candidate has PM and PI-level experience, has dealt with larger projects, knows budgeting, invoicing, and has a mind for business. This new addition to our team will serve as Project Manager on many of our current and future projects in the San Diego region, and other Southern California projects. They will oversee project and client relationship management, and assist with business development and marketing pursuits - They do not need business development experience, however, it is a plus, and good San Diego contacts would be valuable. We have an excellent backlog and work with well-diversified clients and projects. This role has excellent upward mobility potential for someone that desires to take on more leadership opportunities.

The successful candidate will

  • Collaborate with Office Principal and other California team members

  • Develop scopes and budgets for both small and large projects

  • Write technical reports for compliance with CEQA and Section 106

  • Prepare, review, and oversee technical reports, research designs, and management plans for survey, monitoring, testing, and data recovery projects

  • Possess understanding of CEQA, NEPA, and NHPA Section 106

  • Have demonstrated success managing multiple projects and clients at the same time

Qualifications:

  • At least 7-15+ years of experience

  • A minimum of a Master’s degree in Anthropology or Archaeology

  • Meets the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards and Guidelines for Archaeology

  • Possess San Diego experience
